Central PA Honors Healthcare Individuals and Organizations

Harrisburg, PA (January 25, 2008) – Central Penn Parent and sponsors will honor 50 local individuals and organizations who have made a difference in healthcare at an awards breakfast on Monday, March 31, 2008, from 7:30am to 9:30am at Whitaker Center for Science and the Arts.

Finalists for the 2008 Healthcare Heroes awards were nominated and selected for their excellence, innovation and efforts in making a significant impact on the quality of healthcare in Central PA. An independent panel of judges selected finalists in nine categories: Allied Healthcare Hero, Children’s Health Advocate, Corporate Achievement Hero, Education Hero, Emergency Services Hero, Innovation Hero, Nurse of the Year, Physician of the Year and Volunteer of the Year. The highest scoring finalist from each category will be announced at the breakfast and awarded a plaque for their accomplishments. The finalists in their respected categories are listed below.
