Because we are Called unto Glory.
The Church of Christ which is translated from the Greek word ekklesia is a word great depth of meaning. The word means to be called out but it signifies a calling out from living worldly. The new birth process starts with a calling out by way of the gospel to those that are preordained unto life.
I believe that part of the reason for doctrinal errors amongst the church of Christ is because the pastors, evangelists, preachers, and overall ministers think that the Bible is not that involved. Aaron what do you mean by this ? What I’m saying is that the aforementioned group believe that you don’t have to study or go beyond what you see its face value. The Bible means what it says but the problem is understanding what is being said because it was not written in English. When you talk about the ekklesia or the church, meaning the church of Christ it requires a great deal of study because your supplying instructions for life.
Ho ekklesia is a deep phrase because the new birth process is all about God calling us out to live for him. Once we realize that we have been called out we understand that we belong to the Church of Christ. We being the church are not just called out to live whatever type of lifestyle we want. The end of this calling and reward that we shall receive is glorious beyond recognition or anything that we could think. The church of Christ must represent glory in the midst of the world so that they which will be entering into the kingdom of heaven may have a good example to follow. Let us also understand that righteousness is a sign of salvation unto believers and a sign of destruction unto unbelievers. Those of you that read this article you must understand that being called out to serve the Lord is not a small matter but a glorious honor that is bestowed upon all of his children. Those of us that have been given the responsibility to feed and instruct the church must realize this moreover than those that are learning because those that are learning will be following in taking head to the instructions that they been given by you. Teachings of the Gospel must endeavor to teach doctrine worthy of their creator knowing that the road to heaven is not one that is arbitrary but is detailed, and exact. The importance of taking the time to go beyond face value in your studies of the Scriptures cannot be measured in the opinion of man and cannot be valued by some monetary sum. The ekklesia, or the church of Christ is all about the calling of God to those ordained to life and not about the choice we believe we have in accepting or rejecting this calling.
