We all know how important it to ensure that when students arrive, many for the first time, in the UK that they receive a warm welcome not only from the English language school but from their Homestay family. At Capital School we recognize this very important role and to make sure the ‘family feeling’ runs through the whole experience for the students Capital School of English recently held a couple of coffee mornings for the Homestay families.
During these coffee mornings, held at the school, we welcomed many existing families as well as many new families who we rely so much on for offering our students the complete experience. Homestay accommodation is still the most popular choice for our students and we are proud of the great families who have supported the school over the last 8 years.
Treated to a hot drink the families were met by members of the school accommodation team, Ruth Bale and Clive Harris. Spencer and Paulina Fordham the school Directors were on hand to sit and talk to the families and to have open discussions about hosting, student expectations and how their loyalty is valued. The families were given updates for the forthcoming summer term and were also given the opportunity to book their rooms with us.
More events like this are planned as we approach the Easter and Summer peak periods and we are keen to welcome new families to work with us.
The feedback from the 2 mornings recently held at the school was a resounding ‘thumbs up’ and many of the families left happy that the school felt so highly of them and are thankful for their great help in creating a family atmosphere for the hundreds of students that attend the school during the year.
