In its third month Huesdays are dedicated to the celebration of art.

On Thursday, March 27th, Indiatimes.com will launch the opening day of huesdaymarch in
Delhi, featuring artists Shovin Bhattacharjee and Bikash Poddar. Huesdays are monthly exhibits celebrating works of young talent, with the aim to create a platform for the exchange of ideas between fresh talent, acclaimed maestros, critics, collectors & eager novices, and have a blast while at it. Running from the last Thursday to Sunday of every month, huesdays are dedicated to the celebration of art. huesdays feature a unique group of artists each month, from varying schools of aesthetics and artistic sensibilities. Now in its third month, Suman Roy’s Christs, Neeraj Bakshi’s water colours on paper, K Jagjit Singh’s mountainscapes and Yati Jaiswal’s futuristic masterpieces have drawn some of art’s greatest patrons to huesday.

Shovin Bhattacharjee, a native of Shillong and alumnus of Assam University’s Fine Arts Department will display his urban futuristic figurative works with a focus on architectural edifices and their effects on a deteriorating world order. Bikash Poddar, a gold medalist from the College of Art and Craft, Kolkata will display his popular semi-wash landscapes of water-colours on paper with their disarming aura of charm. The works of both artists have shown exponential critical & financial appreciation in art markets worldwide.

Huesdaymarch will be held at Oneness Centre, 4 Tilak Marg, New Delhi from Thursday, 27 March to the following Sunday. A detailed compendium on the life & works of Bhattacharjee and Poddar will also be released, with literary contributions by art critics Suneet Chopra and Johny ML.

Kingfisher First will reprise its role as title sponsor with Chantilli as beverage sponsors to round off the class act that huesdaymarch promises to be.

The huesdaymarch exhibit will remain on view at Oneness Centre, 4 Tilak Marg, New Delhi from March 27 to March 30, 2008.The exhibition will continue thereafter on huesday.com.
