Hundreds Of Area Children To Play Golf In Ninth Annual Kidswing Golf Tournament

KidSwing Golf Tournament has raised more than $1 million for Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

Former Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) patient, KidSwing founder Ben Sater, age 19 and approximately 200 KidSwing participants, ages 7 to 18 will be attending the ninth annual KidSwing Golf Tournament on Monday, June 20, 2011 at Brookhaven Country Club in Dallas.

The ninth annual KidSwing golf tournament benefiting TSRHC is a nine-hole, best-ball scramble for children ages 7 to 18. In addition to the tournament, there will be an awards reception, pool party and dinner. Tournament proceeds will benefit the Charles E. Seay, Jr. Hand Center. To date, KidSwing has raised more than $1 million for the hospital.

  • 8 a.m. – Morning registration
  • 9 a.m. – Morning shotgun start
  • 1 p.m. – Afternoon registration
  • 2 p.m. – Afternoon shotgun start
  • 4:30 p.m. – Pool opens
  • 5 p.m. – Dinner served
  • 5:30 p.m. – Awards program

The original KidSwing Golf Tournament was founded in Dallas in 2003 by former TSRHC patient, Ben Sater, and his mother, Kim. KidSwing is a nine-hole, best-ball scramble for players ages 7 to 18. A KidSwing tournament in McKinney, Texas, was added in 2008 and a KidSwing tournament in Trophy Club, Texas, has been added this year.
