ICFe organizes ‘Project Shakti’- A fast track program for Empowering Women

ICFe sponsors two day free trial sessions for women to protect themselves, in collaboration with Traditional Karate Federation of India

The Institute of Computer and Finance Executives (ICFe), the leading provider of training for financial sector, today announced its collaboration with Traditional Karate Federation of India to sponsor ‘Project Shakti – Women Empowerment Program’.

The two day program will be held at Khun Khun Ji Girls’ College, Lucknow on December 16th and December 17th 2008. The program is aimed at empowering women to defend against all forms of attack.

ICFe has taken this initiative for women students in general and is not confined to students of ICFe alone. ICFe is aiming to train the college going girls with self defence techniques so that they can defend themselves from eve teasers and reprobates.

Speaking on the occasion Mr. Santosh Mangal, CMD, Institute of Computer and Finance Executives says “Indian women were always seen with respect and power. In the last few years, the number of crimes against women has increased substantially, and this is what inspired us to start a program like ‘Project Shakti’ for our female population. The two day free trial program will give them an opportunity to learn about self defence techniques which will help them face the everyday challenges of life’.

“Project Shakti” is a campaign to awaken the degenerating society by strengthening the feminine consciousness and empowering them with the ability to defend against all forms of attacks.

The two day Project Shakti program has unique features which empower women on body, mind & spirit. More then 1000 women participants are expected to participate in the program planned at Khun Khun Ji Girls’ College, Lucknow. The two day program will help them in understanding the basics of self defence and unleash the prowess hidden within for effective repulsion of attacks.

“The need of the hour is that every woman who is stepping out from the four walls of the house should be prepared to defend herself. Use of traditional Karate will empower them to effectively ward off any aggression against them by helping them learn how to deal with situations in crisis through fast track self-defence techniques. Today it’s not about ‘just self defence’ but it’s about ‘must self defence’ ” adds Mr. Rajeev Sinha, President, Traditional Karate Federation of India.
