Innovative Screening Approach Traps Terrorists, Drug Dealers, Criminals by Sensing Criminal Intent

I

A proven screening approach developed in Israel traps terrorists, drug dealers and criminals and can identify suspects even if they are not carrying weapons, explosives or drugs.

The products, developed by Suspect Detection Systems Inc. (SDSS.PK) , are now available in the United States in a strategic alliance with SDB Partners LLC.

?Suspect Detection Systems products bridge a gap because they discover the intent of a person or persons,? says Dr. Stephen Bryen, CEO of SDB Partners.  ?Until now, screeners either had to find something incriminating, or have advanced knowledge through intelligence gathering of a potential threat.  While screeners at airports and border crossings can ask questions of suspects they face two problems: they are guessing whether they really have a genuine suspect, often guessing wrongly; and accurately judging suspect responses is very difficult if not impossible. That is where Suspect Detection Systems has invented a hugely important gap filler,? says Dr. Bryen.

?Figuring out someone?s intentions is a non-trivial exercise and has been, until now, one of the most elusive elements in tracking terrorists and criminals. If you can do this,? says Dr. Bryen, ?you have significantly enhanced everyone?s security.?

The system utilizes two sophisticated layers.  First, potential suspects are rapidly identified among a crowd using a remote ?intention scanning? technology.  Suspects flagged by remote identification are then questioned by an automated interrogation system that can accurately identify whether the suspect intends to commit an act of crime or terror, or has ties to a criminal organization.  Following the interrogation, law enforcement officials can then take additional procedural measures.

The ?intention scanning? technology for suspect identification has an accuracy of 85% or better.  The automated kiosk second step brings the accuracy up to 95% or more.

The intention scanning system is a completely passive system. There are no x-rays or microwaves.  The system is compatible with all existing scanning systems and metal detectors.

SDB Partners is introducing the system in the United States.  Suspect Detection Systems has already deployed its products in a number of sensitive locations around the world. SDB Partners will make the technology available to U.S. government agencies and departments, to law enforcement and to the military.  A portable unit has been specially developed for law enforcement and military applications.
