InsideDesi.com: An Asian Magazine of our Time

I

InsideDesi is a fresh, new and exciting online magazine which launched officially in May 2008. InsideDesi is aimed at anyone and everyone who is interested in the South Asian Entertainment and Music scene, whether it’s Bollywood, Bhangra or the latest Fashions trends from Mumbai, InsideDesi has it all.

With its army of dedicated writers and team of talented photographers, InsideDesi is poised to deliver the hottest content from all over the world. Fatema co-founder of InsideDesi explains more:

“InsideDesi is supplying the demand from the public for timely entertainment news from the British South Asian scene and fusing this with their thirst for all things Bollywood. The pent-up need for this service is visible by the great response we have had from within the Industry and the over whelming number of visitors to the website, just through word of mouth alone.”

The magazine was founded by Shuhel Miah and Fatema Khatun two young entrepreneurs from London; Fatema has a passion for all things Brit Desi and through her energy brings together the determination of her talented team; Shuhel has been doing enterprises for many years, and understands how the technology world is constantly evolving and where InsideDesi can mould its foothold.

Celebrating the launch of their venture within four months of the idea’s conception, delivering at the highest calibre from the start, InsideDesi has been developing at break neck speed. InsideDesi launched with exclusive interviews and photo shoots with some of the brightest stars in the industry including British Asian R’n’B sensation Jay Sean and exclusive coverage of Bollywood Heartthrob Dino Moera’s London event.

InsideDesi aims to harness the Internet unlike its predecessors to deliver Asian news and lifestyle content in an altogether new manner. The magazine is the first in the domain to have a presence in Second Life, which in its own right, is already mustering up a following. Additionally, in the works is a weekly online lifestyle video show which will be aired from the website and YouTube.

Shuhel Miah, adds “The Asian media industry has somewhat been slow to utilise the many facets of growth the internet offers. InsideDesi hopes to utilise its expertise in this area to define itself from the masses.”

The experience within the relatively young team stands testimony to what InsideDesi has to offer. Its writers have worked for ITV, BBC News, The Guardian, Asiana and Teen Asia magazine to name but a few. With a combined experience in print, broadcast, and online media, and a rolodex of superstar contacts across the globe, InsideDesi promises news, gossip and blogging like never before.
