Renowned international interior design firm Intarya, helmed by managing director Daniel Kostiuc, has appeared in this year’s edition of the Andrew Martin Design Review book, Volume 16, published in September 2012.

The book showcases pictures of one of Intarya’s recent projects, a grand residence at The Lancasters, a landmark residential project with a sweeping 124-meter, Grade II-listed stucco façade facing Hyde Park in London.

The Andrew Martin International Interior Designer of the Year award attracts entries from all over the globe and is described by The Times as “The Oscars for the interior design world”. The award is judged by a distinguished panel that has included Jo Malone, Terry O’Neil, A A Gill and the Duchess of York. Each year the very best work from entrants is published in the influential ‘Interior Design Review’ book now in its 16th year and described as the bible for the interior design world.

Intarya’s entry, a grand residence at The Lancasters, blends the historical elements of the building with the best of contemporary interiors and finishes. Inspired by La Belle Époque – a glamorous age of elegance and luxury – and the sense of adventure and discovery associated with The Grand Tour, the design is original, harmonious and appropriate, whilst exuding luxury and sophistication.

The skills of exceptional artists and craftspeople were harnessed to spectacular effect through the use of hand-painted and embroidered silk walls, embellished window treatments and bespoke furniture of the highest quality. Old-world finishes and techniques such as hand carving, verre églomisé and mother of pearl inlay were combined with up-to-the-minute technology, imperceptibly integrated.

The result is a holistic, sensitive and unique design which responds to the provenance, architecture and location of the building, carefully integrated with all the benefits of a modern apartment.

“We are extremely excited and honoured to be included in this year’s addition of the Andrew Martin Interior Design Review”, says Daniel Kostiuc.

Intarya is a wholly owned subsidiary and works hand in hand with Northacre on their schemes, however 90% of the project portfolio is undertaken for private clients and a select number of other developers.

As its newly appointed managing director, Brazilian interior designer Daniel Kostiuc heads a team of 12 interior designers and architects. Daniel studied interior architecture at UCLA and has worked on five-star resorts, boutique hotels and private homes.
