A feeling of bitterness for those who have to leave the Grand Hotel Terme Astro. All the others are ready to bring out their XX factor for the final live shows on the Italian channel RaiUno. The talent show hosted bu Milly Carlucci is announced to be full of surprises. Unconfirmed rumours say Paris Hilton will be the special guest.
Four days, 254 girls, 38 vacant posts and the hunt to the XX factor “the double X factor which makes a woman a real Miss Italy” according to Milly Carlucci, anchor woman of the show. This is the element sought by the jury of Miss Italy during the pre-finals held in Salsomaggiore from the 24th to the 27th of August.
The list of the finalists is now complete: the 38 lucky girls will join the 22 participants who are already entitled to be in the finals.
Many of them are facing the disappointment to have to leave the Grand Hotel Terme Astro in Tabiano, the four-star resort which gives hospitality to the Misses. No fear, the history of the beauty contest is full of examples of famous excluded such as Sofia Loren, Gina Lollobrigida and many more stars.
For the others, on the other hand, the competition is now getting to the heart of matter, they have passed the first “exams” of beauty and.. talent. Yes it is, this year the contest is renewed and becomes a talent show. During the three prime times live on Channel RaiUno from the 14th to the 16th of September “the 60 finalists will have to show their skills in the fashion, cinema and television fields- Milly Carlucci says during an interview for the newspaper Il Giornale – nowadays all the contestants dream to work in the entertainment industry and we want to give them a chance”.
None of them, of course, want to miss the opportunity to show how much they are worth the title: shootings, rehearsals, fashion shows, interviews closely follow one after the other; fortunately the beauty queens can relax and rest in one of the 115 rooms of the hotel and wellness center and restore in the quietness of the ancient oak tree park where to play sports and take long walks. But that’s not all. In the moments of relax it can be very refreshing to take a dive in the panoramic swimming pool, with the magnificent view of the hills of Salsomaggiore, or to improve the tan in the solarium.
The staff of the hotel will look after every detail of the stay, in particular the diet of the would-be Miss Italy. The chefs of the restaurant Della Calle will prepare an healthy and well balanced menu every day. Starting with the breakfast and arriving to the dinner, they will coddle their guests with gluttunuous dishes which include traditional and regional specialities but also pleasant incursions in the international cuisines.
