New Jersey BMW Dealers Announce Engine of the Year Awards; BMW Models Take Four Titles

The trade fair “Engine” Expo in Stuttgart, Germany was yet another platform for BMW to prove its engineering, efficiency and power available in its renowned and recognized engines.
Since 1999, BMW has received more than 50 class and overall victories in the “Engine of the Year Award” competition. This year, four engines were named which include:
1. V8 engine with M Double-Vanos variable valve timing (fourth year in a row)
2. Six-cylinder engine with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology (second year in a row)
3. Four-cylinder diesel with BMW TwinPower Turbo technology (second year in a row)
4. The new four-cylinder power unit under the hood of the MINI Cooper S (surpassed its predecessor)

This year there were 65 car journalists from 32 countries who voted.
