KidSwing, All-kids Golf Tournament Benefiting TSRHC, Expands to McKinney Area

K

KidSwing, an all-kids golf tournament, originally founded by a former Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children patient, expands to the McKinney, Texas area.

The second annual KidSwing-McKinney golf tournament benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) pediatric center for orthopedic conditions included a nine-hole, best-ball scramble for children ages 7 to 18. The tournament also included lunch and an awards reception. There was no entry fee to play in the tournament, but children who entered were encouraged to raise $100 for the hospital by asking their family and friends to “sponsor” them.

This was the second year for KidSwing-McKinney, an all-kids golf tournament similar to KidSwing-Dallas golf tournament, founded in 2003 by former TSRHC patient Ben Sater, at age 11, to give back to the hospital for the care he received.

To date, KidSwing has raised more than $780,000 for TSRHC. For information about KidSwing or KidSwing-McKinney, please visit http://www.KidSwing.org or e-mail [email protected].
