Joining the Land O’Lakes KnowledgePoints with Mr. Contreras is a very successful former principal of Benito Middle School in New Tampa Dr. Bobby R. Smith. Under Smith’s guidance the school was awarded an “A†rating and five-star recognition each year. A native of the Tampa Bay area, Dr. Smith attended school locally, earning a B.A. and M.S. degree from the University of South Florida, attending post-graduate studies at Eckerd College and earning his Ed.D. From the University of Sarasota. Smith was also named the “Principal of the Year†by the Hillsborough County Council Parent Teacher Association.
Along with Dr. Bobby R. Smith, Director of Learning at Land O’Lakes KnowledgePoints and business owner and winner of the ‘World Class Service Award’ for superlative service and support, Rocky Contreras has his partner in life and business Monica Contreras who has been teaching elementary education for 11 years. Awarded Teacher of the Year at Pembroke Pines Charter School and Co-Chair of the Sunshine Committee, also receiving the Most Influential Teacher Award at Dodson Elementary in Nashville, TN Monica brings a whole level of outstanding experience to this team.
