On Saturday, November 22, 2014, the Leading Lady Legacy women’s conference and book tour took attendees at Fairfield Inn RDU by storm! The incredible morning of sharing, growth, and self-affirmation was enjoyed by all. Here are a few things you missed if you were not there:
Inspirational Coach Billie Crooks of Inspirational Women of Purpose Community shared “You have the power to choose – always! Your spirit allows you to be loved. It’s how we commune with our higher power. When not nurtured, it has direct impact on mental and physical and emotional health. We must embrace and replenish our souls daily.”
Fashion Diva Mae Freeman of GLOW (Growing to Love One’s Self Within) shared that “Beauty is what you feel about SELF, not what you see in the mirror. Inner beauty shines past the mask. It over comes pain and disappointment. The beauty of self must be pulled beyond the mask. This will allow you to understand and face the Woman in the Mirror so you may say ‘I am the woman God created me to be!'”
Health Stylist Nasha Snipes of Your Health Stylist served as our mistress of ceremonies, beautifully keeping our program energized and on track.
Throughout the conference, attendees enjoyed beautiful door prizes, shopped with first class vendors, and networked with powerful women.
Leadership Champion Lynita Mitchell-Blackwell of Leading Through Living Community and conference convener gave a humorous recap of all the tour stops and the leadership that came with the challenges of bringing the conference to fruition. She ended our time with this: “You have no time to play small. You are a mighty woman who has been endowed with power, purpose, and passion to accomplish specific things. You are not anybody’s “mini-me” you are the BIG YOU! YOU are the woman you’ve been waiting for all of your life!”
