October 27, 2014 Greenville, SC. On Saturday, October 25, 2014, the Leading Lady Legacy women’s conference and book tour dazzled attendees at Long Branch Baptist Church.  All had a wonderfully impactful session.   Here are a few gems of wisdom we gleamed from out time together.

Minister Kim Adams of Beauty of Ashes Ministry said, “God has given each of us beauty.  Beauty is what we pour out, not what we put on.  When I look past me and can see you, that is beautiful.”  When we are prepared, we can look past all that is not in line with our life plan to see the big picture of what is to come.  A few things that can help us to prepare are

  • Getting rid of the impurities (people and things) in our lives;
  • Being compassionate in regards to other people’s pain; and
  • Practicing generosity of resource and spirit every day.

Health Stylist Nasha Snipes of Your Health Stylist said, “Health is a birth right, but you must say YES to it.” How do you say YES to your health?

  • Drink more water – it helps to move sugar through your system and hydrates your cells.
  • Exercise frequently – find the thing(s) that motivate you so that you will stick with it.
  • Eat REAL food – eat more fiber, vegetables, and pack your own snacks when you are on the go!

“The Leading Lady Legacy is about inspiring others around us.  When our families see us looking good and feeling good, they are inspired to get on board with our efforts to live well.”

Love Maven Cynthia Walton of Giving Good Love was refreshingly honest in sharing relationship advice for married and single women.   She opened with, “A confident woman is a beautiful woman.  To be confident, you must love yourself.  So the start of a great relationship must begin with you.”  Ways to begin with one’s self include

  • Building your confidence so that it outshines your physical wardrobe;
  • Preparing yourself to make room for another person in your life; and
  • Loving yourself so that you CAN love another person.

In answering questions from the single ladies in the crowd, Cynthia shared that, “Leading women find leading men in leading places.  Once you determine the person you would want, you must go to those places.  You do not have to approach anyone; the right man will find you.  But you do have to go out into the world so he may do so!”  Cynthia also shared with the married ladies, “Continue to keep things spicy.  What goes on in your relationship is between the two of you – no one else.  If you both agree to it, and you feel empowered by the decision, then go for it!”

Throughout the conference, attendees enjoyed beautiful door prizes, shopped with first class vendors, and networked with powerful women.

Leadership Champion Lynita Mitchell-Blackwell of Leading Through Living Community and conference convener ended the conference with this, “If there is nothing else you remember from this day, please remember this:  YOU are the woman you’ve been waiting for all of your life!  You are endowed with all the purpose, passion and power that are necessary to achieve greatness.  No need to be a “mini-me” – be the big YOU!”

Greenville was the third stop of the Leading Lady Legacy tour.  The next stop is Columbus, Georgia on November 15, 2014.  To learn more about the Leading Lady Legacy, visit www.LeadingLadyLegacy.com.
