Magic Mania Set to Thrill Local Disadvantaged Children

Noted Australian Performers including Comedic Juggler James BuSTAR to entertain in December 15 Event

Sydney ? The Christmas Season is about to get a little brighter for local disadvantaged children thanks to CareFlight?s annual holiday Magic Mania show.  The event, which includes three shows at the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre on December 15, is made possible by the generosity of sponsors as well the entertainers who donate their performances.

International comedy juggler and variety entertainer James BuSTAR is just one of the acts set to bring laughter and excitement to thousands of children who rarely have the opportunity to attend events like Magic Mania because of the physical or financial limitations they face.

?Giving children entertainment is a blessing,? says James BuSTAR, graduate of the world renowned Flying Fruit Fly Circus and a semi-finalist from Australia?s Got Talent in 2009.  ?Magic Mania has such an incredible belief behind it and helps so many.?

Since it was created in 1998, Magic Mania has entertained more than 50,000 children and the adults in their lives.  The event?s goal, as stated on the Magic Mania website, is to ?provide a unique day for special needs children who, through no fault of their own, have limited opportunities to be involved with and enjoy such outings.?

Beyond that, Magic Mania is also a fundraiser for organiser CareFlight, which itself provides rapid response critical care to the ill and injured.

Generous support from corporations and other sponsors raise much-needed funds to support CareFlight?s emergency medical retrieval services and medical specialists. These donations as well as the performances donated by a multitude of entertainers make Magic Mania possible and bring imagination, merriment and laughter to children who are physically and mentally disabled, those suffering from terminal or chronic illnesses, and those who are socio-economically disadvantaged.

In one of three shows coming up on Saturday for as many as 3,000 spectators each time, entertainers like BuSTAR will thrill children with illusions, magic, contortions, juggling, acrobatics, music and much more.

?Since I don?t normally perform for kids, I was excited when Brendan Montanner asked me to participate a few years back,? said BuSTAR who is participating in the holiday season?s Magic Mania for the fourth time.

Although now an internationally renowned entertainer billed as Australia?s Funniest Juggler, BuSTAR, formerly a bullied teen, knows just how hard life can be for kids.

?The favourite part of my job is doing something that I enjoy and the smiles and laughs that I put on peoples faces, it?s priceless,? James said.BuSTAR will join a number of other noted Australian comedy and magic performers ? including Brendan Montanner, Zimbabwe Brothers, Jonas Jost, Marty and Emu, Demo Simis plus Dancers and more ? to create three shows on Saturday.

Currently, all tickets for the 2012 Magic Mania are allocated.  However, CareFlight welcomes sponsorships and support for the event. To learn how your company or organisation can help the Magic Mania team, visit the website at http://www.magicmania.com.au
