Spain’s Largest Non-Resident Mortgage Broker IMS Joins Forces with Holland’s Largest Overseas Mortgage Broker Hypotienda

Spain’s largest non-resident mortgage broker, International Mortgage Solutions (IMS), has formalized an already close working relationship with Holland’s largest overseas mortgage broker, Hypotienda, by merging the two companies. Although keeping their own identities, the two businesses will operate out of the same Head Office in southern Spain and both stand to gain a great deal from the move.

Heather Chambers, Product Development Director for IMS, comments, “Hypotienda has historically dealt with Spanish mortgages for their Dutch clientele but wished to branch out into other countries and saw a partnership with IMS as a vehicle for this expansion. At IMS we already handle non-resident mortgages in Spain, France, Portugal, Italy and the USA and Hypotienda will now be able to tap into these markets and our knowledge simply and cost-effectively. IMS is also very close to launching an overseas mortgage search and client management software package which will be released to brokers in Spain and the UK by 2008. This online tool will enable Dutch brokers working with Hypotienda to input client details, search for suitable products and generate an approval in principle based on the fiscal information given, all from their offices in Holland. This service allows Dutch brokers to add overseas mortgages to their core business as well as allowing Hypotienda to break straight into the Process & Packaging market in Holland. IMS of course benefits from access to the very buoyant and affluent Dutch overseas homebuyer market.”
