MVJ College of Engineering organises Crash CET Coaching Class and English Speaking

MVJ College of engineering as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiative recently organized a crash CET coaching classes for the 2nd PU students from socially and economically backward areas. The classes were held from January 21st to 24th at the MVJ College campus and more than 25 students from the villages in and around the college campus participated in this programme.

The Department of Mathematics of MVJ College of Engineering organized the four-day CET coaching session and included a two-hour session on each subject- Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry, every day. At the end of the course, Mr.Varun Melanta, Director MVJCE and Dr. K.S.Badarinarayan, Principal MVJCE distributed the participation certificates to the students.

Speaking about the initiative Dr. K.S Badrinarayan, principal MVJCE shared, “This is the first in the series of courses we will be organizing for these students. We will be organizing 10 days of CET coaching classes before the CET test and this will be open to all students appearing in this year’s CET to be held in May.”

A two-day programme on English speaking, personality development and communication skills was also held at the MVJ campus on 23-24 of January for the 2nd PU students so as to train them get jobs in KPOs and BPOs.

“The objective of providing these classes to students was to make them self confident, improve their communication skills and make them industry ready, so that these students after completing their studies can take up jobs in the KPO and BPO industry,” shared Mr. Varun Melanta, Director MVJCE.

Speaking about how the students were selected, Dr. Badrinarayan KS, Principal, MVJ shared, “The participating students live in near by villages and are in PU colleges run by the government. We sent out letters to these colleges and interested students have registered with us for the classes. We have limited the number of students to around 25 so as to give proper attention to each and every student.”
