Atlanta ? August 6, 2012 ? National Association for Female Executives (NAFE) Atlanta announces its inaugural Women of Excellence Business Conference (WEBC). The full day business conference will provide women entrepreneurs and executives the tools, support, and resources they need to build and grow their businesses or careers to the next level. The conference is scheduled for Wednesday, October 10, 2012 atthe Atlanta Marriott Century Center. Registration fee is $60 before August 16, 2012 and $75 thereafter.

The conference is expected to host more than 200 of the Southeast?s finest female business owners, executives, and entrepreneurs and will feature over 10 workshops covering a wide-range of topics including sales, operations, human resources, legal, negotiating, and leadership, a luncheon, give-a-ways, and ample networking opportunities.

According to the recent American Express OPEN study State of Women-Owned Businesses Report , Georgia ranks #1 in the U.S. for growth in the number of women-owned firms. With an estimated 287,500 women-owned businesses generating nearly $42,000,000 in revenues with more than 231,600 employees, Georgia and women in general still fall short in terms of economic clout. According to the report, ?The growth of women-owned firms falters as they reach the 100-employee threshold and the million-dollar revenue mark,? known as ?Heartbreak Hill?.

The development and growth of women owned businesses as well as corporate executives will not only equip them to conquer ?Heartbreak Hill? but, will also have a significant positive impact on the nation?s economy, their local communities and more importantly their families.
