Customers are being invited to ‘Buy Smarter’ by becoming Naked Wine Angels.
“For each wine on offer, there is a story and a face behind the wine. This is where our Wine Angel scheme comes into play” explained a Naked Wines employee.
“It’s a unique concept, which allows customers to support individual winemakers who don’t have the financial means or muscle to break into the UK market. The customer agrees to set aside £5 a month towards their chosen winemakers’ wines, and the winemaker agrees to offer that customer ongoing discounts and a free case of wine to get them started. A win win situation for all concerned!”
Unlike traditional Wine Clubs, which often ties the customer in for a minimum contract term, Naked Wines allows customers to cancel their monthly Angel payments at any time. As long as their conscience allows them!
After just three weeks of going live, Naked Wines recruited over 1000 Naked Angels across six different winemakers – and the current number of Angels exceeds 3000.
