National CD Distribution For Bands and Comedians

Joe Dolan Public Relations in Los Angeles offers musical artists and comedians a chance to get national attention on FM radio through their College Music Marketing Program. Launching the 2009 distribution schedule, artists can get radio spins on FM and streaming radio broadcasts across the United States.

Los Angeles, CA (10-15-08) – “I couldn’t believe it! I went to my mailbox and there was a tag for a package. I got an actual X-Box!” KUTE University disc jockey John Invernizzi told us. “I sent him an air check tape, I never thought I’d win.”

College radio personnel across the country respond to the compilation discs distributed by Joe Dolan PR with airplay and they get rewarded for it. Artists on the CDs find they are getting fan base responses from places they haven’t been to and suddenly they have a reason to tour.

“It’s the basis of what we do.” Joe Dolan, CEO of Joe Dolan Public Relations said in an interview. “We create a high quality media release of recordings from artists in a diverse group of genres. Comedians and musicians are provided to markets they may not have been exposed to yet and they get airplay. It’s a win/win situation.”

With Joe Dolan P.R.’s CD releases, artists are offered this opportunity at a cost of five hundred dollars per recorded track. The CDs are distributed to 1000 reputable college program directors across the country that are given incentives to add the tracks to the shows that students perform on air. It’s an out of pocket cost of fifty-cents per CD mailed. Both efficient and cost effective. With an incentive to play the music, disc jockeys return a copy of an air check tape to JDPR and are entered into a drawing for an X-Box, Visa Gift Cards and a host of other gifts.

With a history that includes promoting artists for Geffen and Columbia Records and distributing music for the Album Network’s ‘In Tune’ program, Joe Dolan has offered this College Music Marketing Program to artists since 1999 and the response has been tremendous. Where the corporate owned radio world offers little to no inclusion of unsigned and up and coming artists, college offers the alternative; a chance for artists to be included in airplay that serves hundreds of thousands of listeners across the nation and online around the world.

“I love being the first jock to break a band to my audience.” Boston disc jockey Ken Shelton reveals. “I’ve been discovering new talent for decades and these CDs are a big help with my being first to the mic.”

With the end of the 2008-year drawing close, artists are encouraged to get on board the 2009 schedule with their best track as the year’s entry slots fill quickly. The compilation CDs titled “L.A. Music Promotions” and “Comedy Cuts” provide 15 bands and 20 comedians more than 1000 chances to be included in an FM station’s play list with each scheduled release. As there are only so many available releases in the annual distribution schedule; artists who haven’t got their track reserved may find the year’s distribution availability drawing to a close before summer 2009.
