Net Artists Pandovisia announce the release of their debut album The Last Man On The Net

N

Using an unusual combination of instruments and equipment, some cutting edge, some throwing back to the days of early home computers or even back to the 1920s, Pandovisia have produced an idiosyncratic mixture of seeming contrasts, a music amalgam of old and modern, subtle and industrial, played and programmed. Their songs in faster tempos are driven by relentless bass lines and agile rhythms, while the ballads reveal an unashamedly romantic side. Intricate arrangements and ethno-influenced melodies conform to a traditional form of pop songs, which stand side by side, not as an everyday record, but as an assorted collection of timeless singles.

“From the Cloud to Recycle Bin and back again”, Pandovisia will take you on a journey with The Last Man On The Net, fronted by the elusive vocalist Mile, and backed by the funky one-man-guitar-trio Dule.

You will be drawn into the story of the End User, who lives his life on the blurred line between Online and the Safe Mode, trying to preserve his unique Advanced Settings. He decides not to meet a Girl From Facebook while he fights (but ultimately succumbs to) his demons in the shape of a Strange Attachment. One moment The Last Man On The Net is in a Bad Game (but on a Good Level) but the next moment you will find him Surfing Down The Cyber on a Sunday afternoon, or seeking his solitude in Private Browsing. He knows he is trapped Under The Net and tries to release himself and all of us with a cry Let?s Kill Our Avatars Tonight. Yet he knows that online existence may be more persistent than what we bargained for: Backups Are Forever.

The Last Man On The Net is in so many ways every one of us.

Rarely has a music album been so relevant in the world in which it is released.

The album is available as a download on all major music download sites, including iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play, Nokia, Blackberry and Qriocity. Following the digital release, it will also be available on the 20th century physical media, like CD. A limited vinyl pressing is also planned some time in 2013. Subject to demand, a ZX Spectrum compatible compact cassette will be also be manufactured using traditional manual processes.

THE LAST MAN ON THE NET IS JUST A CLICK AWAY FROM YOU.
