The story tells of three brothers who see a shooting star before falling asleep and have a dream that takes them on an adventure. They travel the world, meeting a talking tree and bunnies in a forest, an elephant in Africa, a horse in a star-lit pasture, a whale under the sea, and stars in the sky. Each interaction encourages the boys and teaches them something to help them reach their goal to have a grand adventure in the sky. While the author narrates, the words appear on the page and assist children to associate the sound of the word with the written word. Animation, as well, links to the narration and can be initiated in some instances by tapping on the screen, adding more fun and interaction to the story telling.
Author, Ahnalira Koan, has a masters degree in Psychology with a focus on learning. Koan says, “Learning is an active process, and children who develop a belief in their ability to learn can make their dreams come true. That’s the fundamental message of this book, though what is even more important is it’s a fun story!”
