(East St. Paul, Manitoba, Canada – May 31, 2007) Bullies continue to be a problem in schools and neighbourhoods. Birds Hill Publishing, publisher of the popular anti-bully book, The Bully: A Discussion and Activity Story, have recently released a new book on bullying aimed at parents. Bullying: A Parent’s Primer explains bullying, exposes the personality of the bully and the characteristics of the bully’s target, and addresses what needs to be done by parents and the school to eliminate bullying.

“Bullying is an action where everyone involved becomes less,” states author, Rita Y. Toews. “The target of the bully and those who are forced to stand by and witness the incident feel helpless and powerless. The bullied child can feel the situation is hopeless and that they are useless and even worthless as individuals. Parents need the tools to handle the situation is a positive manner.”

Birds Hill Publishing also carries an anti-bully book for teen girls entitled Why Me? For more information on the publisher’s line of anti-bully books, please contact: Birds Hill Publishing at (204) 661-2734 or visit the book’s website at www.thebullybook.com/what_is_bullying.html
