New website featuring thousands of homes in the South of France

If you don’t speak French fluently, it can be difficult to find a house through French websites. In addition, these websites are known for their lack of transparency, while the websites of British estate agents in the South of France have just a small range to offer. Entrepreneur Sylvia Tóth, who lives in Monaco for part of the year, felt a good overview was lacking. Developed last summer to fill this gap, AuSud is an overarching website of southern French estate agencies, and there are now more than fifteen thousand houses and apartments listed here for sale, covering all regions of the South of France.

The advantages for users are considerable. They are able to search in their own language and automatically receive an email if a match is found with their search criteria. A detailed map allows them to see if a house really is as ideally located as the advertisement claims, and the listing is updated daily.

Despite the economic crisis the demand among non-French people for homes in the South of France has not diminished. Northern Europeans remain Francophiles. The South of France ?especially the beautiful Côte d’Azur ? will always remain popular, so a house in this region can be a sensible investment. ?We have taken a giant step to fill the hole in the market,? says Sylvia Tóth, who has received, amongst other distinctions, the Dutch Businesswoman of the Year award and the Leading Women Entrepreneurs of the World award.
