Third Annual San Angelo Sporting Clay Shoot Benefits Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

The third annual San Antonio Sporting Clay Shoot, benefiting Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, was held at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio this spring. More than 200 members of the community came together for the event.

TSRHC Trustee Mike Gower conceived the idea of creating a sporting clay shoot fundraiser in the San Antonio area to give the community an opportunity to contribute to the hospital that helps many of its local families. It was modeled after the hospital’s other benefit clay shoots: the San Angelo Sporting Clay Shoot and Frost Sporting Clay Shoot, which have built lasting friendships for the benefit of the young patients at TSRHC.

Guests at the San Antonio Sporting Clay Shoot enjoyed a barbeque lunch, live music and a live auction, featuring items such as a quail hunt, a whitewing dove hunt and an island getaway. The clay shoot helps raise awareness about TSRHC and reaches out to families in the San Antonio area who may benefit from treatment at the children’s hospital.
