PGCC Stays On The Cutting Edge of Technology

P

Change is challenging, especially in a world where the technology intended to make life easier can be difficult to learn. Such is not the case at the Professional Golfers Career College. As the college expands, the technologies to suit its needs must also grow, and PGCC is committed to modernizing technology wherever possible.

In addition to the computer labs, available to all students, each campus is equipped with multiple screen swing labs that make it easy to record and replay a student’s swing, ensuring that improvement will be well rounded and in depth. Long gone are the days of transparencies and overheads, every classroom houses a media cabinet. Inside the cabinets are computers and controls that send a feed to the ceiling mounted projectors, providing crisp picture on the large retractable screens, also found in every classroom.

Each student can connect their laptop for presentations on the big screen, lending an extra touch of professionalism. To complement those fixtures, classrooms are equipped with surround sound. Speakers have been installed in the ceiling for a streamlined look that provides well distributed sound. No matter where a student is located, the quality of their media experience is guaranteed to be the same.

The St. Andrew’s Auditorium, located at the Temecula campus, recently received some improvements to transform it into a two screen multimedia center. It is no longer homage solely to the history of golf, it is a center with the ability to stream video from the internet, play a film, use the wireless microphone setup for a presentation and house the entire student body.

Technology is ever evolving, which means PGCC continually evolves with it. New developments are happening all the time, so stay tuned for regular updates.
