The culinary competition to scoop the Italian Journalistic Gastronomic Award takes place in Rome on 1st and 7th October
Coming after the Venice Film Festival and just before the Rome Cinema Festival, Piatto d’Autore provides a mouthwatering interlude that combines movies and food.
Bormioli Rocco is one of the sponsors of the event, held in the Italian capital on the 1st and 7th of October, which sees Italian journalists don their aprons and vie for culinary greatness. During an entertaining live cooking competition, the “chefs†will do battle for the I National Journalistic Gastronomic Award.
The theme of the 2008 edition is the link between films shot in the Lazio region by great directors and typical gastronomic products of that area. Each contestant will prepare a dish inspired by films of the calibre of “Bread, love and dreamsâ€, “Bellissimaâ€, “Mister Max†and serve it with a local wine.

A gala evening is planned for the “Piatto d’Autore” gran finale.
