RALEIGH, N.C. – MS Events, the volunteer organization coordinating several bike and foot races in the Triangle, announces today Tir na nOg Irish Pub, Fleet Feet Sports Raleigh and Brooks Sports are presenting sponsors of the eco-friendly St. Patty’s Run Green 8K (www.stpattysrungreen.com).

“We are excited to be a part of the inaugural St. Patty’s Run Green 8K,” says Bob Morris, owner of Fleet Feet Sports Raleigh. “This event is a great way for us to celebrate St. Patrick’s day, promote fitness and give back to the community by raising money for multiple sclerosis research.”

The race includes an 8K competitive run, eco-learning expo and a post-race party hosted by Tir na nOg Irish Pub. Every 100th finisher in the competitive 8K will receive a free pair of Brooks shoes and custom fitting from Fleet Feet Sports Raleigh. More than 500 runners are expected for the downtown race.

“We are looking forward to a fun celebration and hope everyone will continue to activate eco-friendly practices well after the race is over,” says Bruce Bokish, director of MS Events. “I am proud the community continues to support the efforts of the National MS Society.”
