Chicago, IL, July 03, 2008 — With the “dog days of summer” upon us, Red Dog House understands dog lovers need a break.

Along with great deals for the Wicker Park Bucktown Sidewalk Sale, Red Dog House will be serving free hot dogs plus, Midwest Dachshund Rescue will be showing off loveable dachshunds available for adoption. Taking place from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27 from 12:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., this is the second year that Red Dog House, located at 2031 N. Damen Avenue, is hosting Red Hot Hot Dog Day.

The renowned Chicago-style dogs from Red Hot Chicago®, which are best enjoyed with mustard and relish on a bun, will be given away free. Midwest Dachshund Rescue is bringing along their own brand of adorable, adoptable “hot dogs,” which were given their nickname because of their unique, elongated shape.

“With a variety of dogs to choose from, customers can get a great deal on dog gear, enjoy a Chicago-style steamed dog and learn more about adopting a lovable pet,” said Steve Greenberg, co-owner of Red Dog House. “Either way, they’re sure to leave saying, ‘hot diggity dog’.”
