The “Helping Africa” charity drive, which is organized in the Czech Republic since January 2011 to help the children in Mozambique, Africa is also supported by a number of European schools and kindergartens. Among them is a well known English kindergarten and nursery named Neverland. It has supported the drive financially and also through gifts in the form of toys and children’s clothing.
The gifts donated to “Helping Africa” go directly to Mozambique, where the representatives of the Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park pass these out into the hands of the responsible representatives of local authorities and educational and hospital facilities. Gonarezhou Transfrontier Park stretches on the borders between Mozambique and Zimbabwe, exactly in the area where the charity drive donations are heading to.
“Helping Africa” drive helps in Mozambique
A one of a kind charity event to help the children of Mozambique, Africa is going on since January 2011 and will go on until September 25th 2011. The objective of this drive is to support the local community living in dismal conditions through material gifts in the form of children’s clothing, medical kits, school supplies or toys and thereby help its future development.
“We have decided to support the “Helping Africa” drive financially as well as with children’s clothing and toys, because day in and day out we are part of a multicultural environment and are aware that not every child lives in such abundance and favorable conditions such as we do here in Europe,” states the Neverland School Principal, Vanessa Gendron.
