Based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Seegrid Corp. (www.seegrid.com) brings robotic vision-guided technology to the material handling industry. With more than thirty years of innovation and research by the leading robotic scientists, engineers, programmers and logistics practitioners worldwide. Seegrid’s exclusive Robotic Industrial Trucks are revolutionizing the movement of materials in manufacturing and distribution environments. Seegrid’s technology transforms industrial vehicles into un-manned, automated pallet trucks and tow tractors that operate without the need for wire, tape, laser or other costly automated guided vehicle (AGV) guidance systems. Seegrid offers solutions that optimize workflow processes by increasing productivity and reducing costs, creating economic and operational advantages.

Recently the company announced the hire of Dave Moon as Customer Support/Project Manager.

In his role, Moon will manage Seegrid’s continual commitment to providing the highest quality of products to its customers. Moon will monitor customer satisfaction, acting as the voice of the customer to the company, and work with quality, engineering, manufacturing and field service teams to employ effective solutions.

Moon enthused, “I am excited about the number of opportunities to immediately affect positive change, working with great people on a cutting edge technology in a dynamic and growing business.”

In his previous position as Program Manager for a large Defense Contractor, Moon significantly improved customer relations by working with engineering, manufacturing, and quality to improve reaction time and build a strong customer relationship. This excellent work earned Raytheon’s Four Star Supplier Excellence Award in 2010.

According to Seegrid’s VP of Manufacturing John Mazock, “Dave Moon has a technical background that allows him to quickly understand and react to a technical product….he has demonstrated experience with building positive relationships with clients. His last position transformed the relationship with a key client from a low rating to a very high rating level of customer satisfaction. Seegrid will benefit from his managerial experience and capacity to drive improvement throughout the organization, improving relationships and better supporting our clients.”

The Seegrid hiring expansion was the natural and necessary progression, especially with respect to the recent partnerships with Raymond Corp. and Linde Material Handling. These two leading industrial truck manufacturers worldwide have captured the top two market share positions in the industry. Seegrid has entered into a rapid growth period to meet the demands of its OEM partners and its ever-growing, material handling client base.
