San Jose, CA – Become Singer opens its doors to aspiring singers out there as they are now accepting entries for the first “And The Winner Is…Music!” singing competition to be held at the San Jose State University Music Hall on August 27 and 28.
Interested singers must complete the registration form becomesinger.com/register.html and submit at least one entry of their song in a MP3 or WAV format. Completed forms and songs must be emailed at [email protected]; otherwise, they can be posted on the web. Only one entry per participant will be accepted. Entrants who will submit more than one entry will be disqualified by the board of judges.
Once all entries are reviewed, top performers will be asked to come back for a live audition and prepare an instrumental track or accompany themselves. Only 27 finalists will move on to the finals and they are required to have 5 original songs to perform on the live show.
Winners will be determined via online votes from different people in the world and will be judged by celebrity guests. “And The Winner Is…Music!” aims to collect the most number of points in the different categories to determine the winner. The winning selection will receive 100 points from the four general categories; 25 points are awarded to other categories namely, rock, pop, RnB, rap, country and other genres; and 5 points will be awarded to the overall scores of the entrant for every new user who will participate in the contest with a maximum of 50 points. The entrant with the highest points wins. The winner will receive $1500.00 Grand Prize.
