Calgary, Canada, September 23, 2010 — With the North American economy coming back – slowly and the threat of a double dip many job seekers are looking for resources that will get them back to work. After 2 years of research, development and testing, Corey Harlock has launched Skills to Achieve. Skills to Achieve is a comprehensive program that takes a job seeker through the entire hiring process from defining what they really want to do through to taking control of the interview and getting the job.

“There are a lot of resources out there that will give you bits and pieces,” says Harlock, “but my program is the only one that will walk you through step by step.” Skills to Achieve is designed to de-mystify the hiring process and gives job seekers honest and “inside information” from the hiring manager’s perspective so job seekers can create the best strategy for them and take control of the process.

By providing what it happening on the other side of the process, Skills to Achieve will empower job seekers to ask the right questions at the right time and never be left wondering what happened with my application. Harlock says, “There is nothing worse than applying for a job you feel is perfect for you, then never hearing back. It is really unfair and never gives closure to the applicant.” He continues, “I want people to have the knowledge and confidence to get those answers so they can either ask the questions that might change the direction of the application or use the feedback to refine their application strategy.”

Mr. Harlock, a professional recruiter by trade actually designed this process to better serve his clients, but what he found once he implemented his unique process was that the vast majority of applicants couldn’t clearly answer his questions. “So I started to coach the candidates through the process to help them define what they really wanted,” says Harlock “and I found that light bulbs started turning on and people were genuinely grateful for the clarity it gave them.” Then the success stories started coming in! Once people implemented what they learned, they started getting hired and Mr. Harlock decided to make it available to the masses.

Once people complete the entire 4-step program, over 3 hours of information they will have clarity about how the process actually works as well as what mistakes they have made in the past that may have limited their chances of getting a call or even hired. The goal of the program is to have applicants “Look like the Best Candidate, not another candidate” which ultimately lead to getting the job.
