Bochum, Germany, January 20, 2012 — In 2012, Soft Xpansion celebrates the 10th anniversary of its PDF Xpansion technology. In order to commemorate this event, the company grants a special 10 percent discount on all libraries, extensions and services of the PDF Xpansion SDK family.
10 Years PDF Xpansion Technology
The core of the PDF Xpansion technology is made up by a PDF library which has entered the software market in 2002. It converts printable documents and content into EMF files, which are then sent to a virtual printer for conversion into the PDF format. At first, the library was only implemented into standard applications created by Soft Xpansion. Following the second version (2004), it is since the third version (2006) that the PDF Xpansion technology also consists of an independent, purchasable PDF SDK (software development kit) for software developers. This SDK enables companies to implement PDF functionality into their own applications, without the need to supply additional programs to create, view or edit PDFs. Since 2006, the SDK is permanently enhanced and optimized. Today, developers use the PDF Xpansion SDK to add PDF functionality to corporate and to consumer software applications.
The current version 8 of the SDK is based upon ISO Standard 32000 and the Adobe extension to ISO 32000-1, version 1.7, extension level 5. Version 8 enables developers to provide functionality that practically solves all tasks that may arise in connection with the creation, conversion, display and editing of PDFs. This also includes the bi-directional conversion between XPS and XFA files on the one hand and PDF on the other hand.

PRICING AND SPECIAL DISCOUNT
The prices for the basic SDK library to create PDF files start at 950,- Euros. Until March 31, 2012, all sub-libraries, extensions and additional services are sold at a special 10 percent discount on the regular prices. Various license types and component sets are available. The price list follows the idea to offer separable SDK components and modules. Therefore, it allows a flexible adaptation to the actual clients` demands on the PDF solution.
