A team of experts is taking on computer problems and more at a new technology tips Web site, Tiplet.com.

Blue Lake, CA, January 14, 2009 — The new tech support site was launched in late December 2008 by Kevin Savetz, a longtime computer expert and Internet guru who has authored several books about the Web and computer applications since the early 1990s. He has brought together technology journalists with specialties ranging from Microsoft Vista to online computing to email applications.

“These experts bring to Tiplet the combination of technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly and effectively,” Savetz said. “When you get a confusing error message or want to know how to get started with a particular application, they’ll get right to the point so you can get back to doing what you need to do.”

The advice and how-to’s are posted blog-style, several times a day. There’s a convenient search feature.

Computer performance, privacy and security, and social networking are among the topics tackled by the Tiplet team. Besides addressing questions of relatively new computer users, Tiplet will also take on topics geared toward more experienced users, such as computer networks, customizing Vista and transferring files.

Site visitors are asked to submit questions to Tiplet and an expert is likely to address it in a future post. These established experts are also technology journalists with backgrounds as IT consultants, software developers, instructors and more.

“Tiplet is the place for technology users to get reliable, authoritative answers and advice,” Savetz said. “If a question is addressed by one of our experts, you can be confident you’re getting information that’s correct and to-the-point.”

Tiplet has already tackled topics such as: How to Make a Podcast; Hosting a Web site; Disabling Windows Balloon Tips; Setting Up a Home Network on Vista; and Getting Started on Twitter.

There’s a free Tiplet newsletter as well as an RSS feed so readers get updates of new tips that are posted.

Tiplet is owned by Savetz Publishing, Inc. Savetz Publishing also owns FaxZero, which lets users send faxes from their PC; Free After Rebate, a guide to free-after-rebate deals; and FreePrintable.net offering free printable business cards, stationery, recipe cards and other useful printable items.
