This year’s x-mas gift of horror?

“I had no idea that my writing would be this appreciated! I started my own website a year ago as a way to get some of my material out there. To my surprise my site has had thousands of visitor since its birth! I have also received requests to collect those of my stories that was deemed TOO scary in one place. As I was published in the magazine UNIVERSE PATHWAYS I found the print-on-demand site www.lulu.com. After working with the project I released the book THE DEAD SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH believing only my family would actually by it. I was wrong! It seems that there is a hunger for different horror than what you usually find in USA. This has made me happy and I am currently working on an anthology with only Swedish writers. It will be in English as well, it is about time the readers in America get to read some new material. Most of the magazines keep to domestic writers which I think is a big mistake. My book proves this!”

This statement came from the author Thom Olausson when asked about the book.

“the competition out there is fierce and there are many good writers trying to make it big. We never thought that the book THE DEAD SHALL INHERIT THE EARTH would become a hit. It seems we were wrong! The people involved in the project has done all the work for free so if this keeps up then we might be able to make some money in the end. So what is it about the book that has struck a cord in the readers? They also believe that the fact that Thom Olausson’s stories has been available on the internet has had something to do with it. The book contains the stories that has been rejected by magazines in North America with the words: well written but TOO bloody for us.

Mr. Olausson has also put a couple of poems in there. This is something he has never done before and he has had great response from the readers this far. As a result he has let it be known that there will be a book with only dark poetry coming out in 2008. The name is DIARY OF THE DEAD. Be on the lookout!
