Tomas Mena, a manufacturing expert in Mexico’s Maquiladora Industry, has joined MFI International, as Director of MFI’s Shelter Division.
El Paso, Texas, April 01, 2009 — MFI International Competitive Crossborder Solutions, a leading provider of Mexico Manufacturing Programs, announces a new addition to its team: Tomas Mena has recently assumed the position as the company’s director of the Shelter Program; an Outsourced Maquiladora Support division. In addition to these duties, he will also assume oversight responsibility for Mexico operations.
Mr. Mena has more than 35 five years of hands on experience in managing Mexican manufacturing operations. He has directed OEM and EMS manufacturing efforts for multinational companies such as Plexus, Elamex, RCA, amongst others.
Tomas has a proven track record of success in strategic planning, managing multiple manufacturing facilities, transferring operations from North America and Europe to Mexico, as well as in managing an extensive network of clients within different top level positions in various multi national companies.
Mr. Mena also has experience in establishing and maintaining valuable government alliances. He has built extensive local government networks as a former President of the Maquiladora Association in Ciudad Juarez Chihuahua (Asociacion de Maquiladoras de Cd. Juarez – AMAC), and as Vice President of the National Council for the Maquiladora Industry in Mexico (Consejo Nacional de la Industria Maquiladora de Exportacion (CNIME).
