Vintage Advertising Gallery Launched Online

TORONTO, ONTARIO. November 5, 2007. Singular Films has launched a new online gallery of over 2000 vintage advertising illustrations

With rarities like celebrities endorsing alcohol and cigarettes, patronizing feminine hygiene ads and laughable vintage underwear ads, this unique collection is both a glimpse into simpler times and a reminder that those days after often best left behind.

“In the process of collecting so many rare pieces for our DVD’s,” said John Anthony, owner of Singular Films, “we kept coming across these great – often hilarious – ads that we ended up collecting and gathering for an online collection. As far as I know, it’s the biggest collection of its kind on the web.”

Features of note include celebrities including the likes of Ronald Reagan, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart, John Wayne, Jerry Lewis, Groucho Marx, Charlton Heston, advertising everything from shirts to light bulbs and even an extensive gallery of Bob Hope advertising a very wide range of products in the days when celebrities embraced it.
