Virgin Wines is enjoying a growth in its online wine sales. The Internet wine retailer achieved its best month on record in December, with like for like sales 43% up on the same month in 2006.
At a time when many traditional wine merchants and wine shops have been reporting tough trading conditions, Virgin Wines has just recruited its 500,000 customer and is experiencing a significant increase the number of new customers buying wine from the website.
