April 20, 2009 – Flamingo flocking is quickly becoming a trend inAmerica. An easy way to raise money for any cause, Flamingo flockingonly needs very little effort. Churches, schools, charitableinstitutions, NGOs and even individuals go for flamingo flocking,which they consider to be the easiest way to raise some money.Flamingo flocking is really seen as a good fundraiser for a greatcause.
The Girl Scout troop brought 100 (50 pair) of pink plastic flamingos from www.plastic-flamingos.com and placed them in the yards of theirhouses and their friends. They left a note saying “these flamingos arenesting here for raising money for the Girl Scout. For a smalldonation of ten dollars, they would fly to the residence of yourchoice.” These notes are quite impressive that any one could say no.Along with the note, they had also given contact number and addressalong with order forms for their cookies. The Girl Scout team placedthe flock in the yards of their neighbours and would not remove them until their neighbour purchased at least 5 boxes. Needless to say,they won the cookie sale.
Even in this current economic state, a Girl Scout troupe has managed to prevail.
