Real adventurers are always in search of the next off the beaten track location. So where’s the next hot spot for true explorers?
South Africa might be an unlikely candidate, however, Acacia Africa has incorporated several of the country’s lesser-known locations in its new brochure, along with some hidden treasures including, the landlocked kingdoms of Lesotho and Swaziland. Spurred on by news of the cross party power sharing agreement the tour operator has also decided to incorporate a Zimbabwe based small group safari in the portfolio.
The launch of the new brochure ties in with Acacia Africa’s “Go Wild Online” campaign, which will run from now through to the end of March 2010.

The 7-day Rediscover Zimbabwe itinerary is aptly titled; and even if you’ve seen the Victoria Falls, the trip’s starting point, it’s a well-known fact that they are best viewed from the Zimbabwean side. Safari central, the Hwange National Park is said to house the largest number of wildlife in southern Africa and the location is ideal for animal fanatics, as a visit to the Wild Dog Project is included in the experience. Bush walks to view rhino and antelope are available in Matopos National Park, adventurers opting to walk with lions and swim with elephants in the Antelope Private Game Reserve. So you’ve experienced the Kruger? No one safari experience is the same so Acacia Africa have included the Big Five National Park in their new 13-day Trek South Africa itinerary.
