Canadian travel business helps the Less fortunate with Charity drives to do there part for the Holidays

Calgary, Canada, December 04, 2008 — Wild Rose Vacations an Alberta-based travel club is giving some warmth to some of Calgary’s homeless this holiday season. Homelessness in Calgary has always been a problem, but with the current economy and high prices it makes it even tougher for some of the less fortunate out there, say’s Tim Halicki, an employee for the company. He and his coworkers volunteered to hand out sleeping bags in some of the areas where these unfortunate individuals may suffer most from the frigid cold weather that Calgary is famous for. “It’s not just that the company has had a very good year; we all felt like it’s our duty to give something back to the city in which we live and work” says Halicki.

Most of Wild Rose Vacations’ employees volunteered for this project and helped to hand deliver new sleeping bags to these folks on their own time. “Hopefully it may save someone’s life from the cold and at the very least, keep them warm on those cold winter nights. It seemed sad at first, but you should see their faces when you hand them a sleeping bag. Knowing these bags will keep a lot of people more warm this winter actually makes you feel warm inside.” This is not the first year the company has made donations to the less fortunate according to Halicki, but they normally don’t publicize it.

Wild Rose Vacations is a private, members-only travel company that offers vacations at substantially discounted prices. Package deals and condominium use is a great alternative to timeshare ownership, which can be costly and not very effective, especially when you want to change your location. Wild Rose Vacations offers all the benefits of the luxury condos with none of the hassles. “Their travel agents are very service oriented, and always seem to find a better deal than I can, including anything on the internet”, says Susan Reinhard, a frequent traveler. “The best deals are given to members, always.”

Wild Rose Vacations will also be hosting a food drive for the Calgary Food Bank. Anyone interested in donating canned goods is asked to drop of their non perishable food items at the following address during normal business hours:
1003 – 4515 Macleod Trail S.W.
Calgary, Alberta T2G 0A5
