Workers in Ireland Needed to Fill Various Positions in Canada

REGINA, SK ? At a time when a large portion of Ireland?s population struggles to find employment, one company continues its search for Irish workers to fill a current labor shortage in Canada.

Actyl Group Inc., an international recruitment company, will hold a number of informational sessions and interviews October 24-November 1 regarding jobs available throughout Canada. The sessions will take place in Dublin, Cork, Limerick and Galway over the course of nine days.

?Unemployment continues to be a major issue in Ireland, but in Canada companies are experiencing challenges in filling their open positions,? said Adrian Schulz, spokesperson for Actyl Group. ?We are happy to provide information and conduct interviews throughout the country in the final week of October to find qualified Irish workers who may be interested in these jobs.?

Of particular need in Canada are carpenters, welders, millwrights, electricians, plumbers, heavy duty mechanics, engineers, tire changers and other skilled trades professionals in the construction, manufacturing, hospitality, personal care and healthcare fields including family physicians. Actyl Group?s interviews and informational sessions will take place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the following locations:

  • October 24-25 at Bewley?s Ballsbridge in Dublin
  • October 26-27 at Silver Springs in Cork
  • October 28-29 at Radisson Blu in Limerick
  • October 30 at Radisson Blu in Galway
  • October 31-November 1 at Bewley?s Ballsbridge in Dublin

The sessions begin at the top of each hour, and participants should bring a CV in both hard and soft copy forms, as well as a copy of their passport.
