The report reflects Ecova\u2019s commitment to energy and sustainability management within its own corporate environments.<\/p>\n<p>In 2014, Ecova marked several milestones in each of the four areas of responsibility that the company holds itself accountable to track and report against with regular metrics. To increase its impact, Ecova also set new goals against these four areas to be completed over the course of two years. To achieve these goals, Ecova developed a three-year strategy map that outlines long-term initiatives and annual priority projects as well as a corporate responsibility dashboard to track its progress to goals and other program highlights. The dashboard is accessible by all employees.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis second annual report transparently details Ecova\u2019s performance over the last two years in the areas that matter most to our stakeholders,\u201d said\u00a0<a title=\"Jana Schmidt\" href=\"https:\/\/www.engieinsight.com\/executive-leadership\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow\">Jana Schmidt<\/a>, president and CEO of Ecova. \u201cPublicizing these corporate responsibility goals is an exciting step toward strengthening our commitment to our employees, our clients, our communities and our environment.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Additional highlights from the 2014 report:<\/p>\n<h5>CLIENTS:<\/h5>\n<div id=\"bullet-list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ecova identified over $1.6B in savings for the company\u2019s commercial and industrial clients over the past two years.<\/li>\n<li>Ecova announced an agreement with manufacturers to make pay-TV set-top boxes more energy efficient. Approximately 230 million set-top boxes will reduce energy use by 10-45 percent, saving consumers around $1 billion each year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"break\">\u00a0ENVIRONMENT:<\/div>\n<div id=\"bullet-list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ecova impacted the environment by reducing its carbon footprint by 1.49 percent from 2012 by consolidating offices, implementing office efficiency improvements and efficiently managing business travel.<\/li>\n<li>Ecova responded to CDP\u2019s 2014 climate change questionnaire and it was included in CDP\u2019s S&amp;P 500 Climate Change Report 2014, which is publicly available on the\u00a0CDP website. As an accredited CDP silver software partner, Ecova holds itself to the same high standards for transparent emissions accounting and reporting as the company recommends to its clients.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"break\">\u00a0EMPLOYEES:<\/div>\n<div id=\"bullet-list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ecova provided over 29,000 hours of professional development to employees through departmental, cross-functional and leadership training programs.<\/li>\n<li>Ecova launched a new safety program, Ecova Cares, to provide visibility and guidance to employees on safety protocols, training, and accident and near-miss reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"break\">\u00a0COMMUNITY:<\/div>\n<div id=\"bullet-list\">\n<ul>\n<li>Ecova employees volunteered nearly 8,600 hours to over 300 organizations across the country through the company\u2019s Community Service Day benefit.<\/li>\n<li>Ecova rolled out its first ever company-wide fundraising campaign to benefit United Way and EarthShare, raising more than $35,000 to help promote the long-term health of our communities and environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"break\">Ecova provides energy and sustainability management services to\u00a0commercial and industrial\u00a0companies across North America, with more than 20 percent of the Fortune 500 on its client list.
