Description: Set against the intense blues of placid lakes and the emerald green of the Valdivian forest in the Southern Hemisphere, Ulaa Patagonia is the ideal destination for travelers seeking the charms, thrills and relaxation of an all-seasons wilderness retreat.

The resort, an eco-adventure property hidden deep in the Andes Mountains, features seven rustic, yet comfortable cabins tucked away far from civilization, stress, work and all things commonplace. There are no alarm clocks here, only the chirps of birds to stir the senses from sleep and the hum of the forest to set minds dreaming. By day, guests indulge in wellness treatments courtesy of Maya Spa, or engage in a number of featured activities, from adventure boating, hiking through the surrounding forest, and exploring the village culture of nearby Segundo Corral, to canoeing in the property’s two lakes and river, and horseback riding with local guides. Other activities include mapping the stars on crystal clear nights, farming the organic gardens, and cooking lessons where guests harvest fresh ingredients from the organic farm.

Join a select group of journalists on assignment in discovering the highlights of Patagonia’s Lake District with a four-night FAM to Ulaa Patagonia, the first South American wellness property launched in December 2006 by EcoTulum Resorts and Spa’s newest division, Enchanting Small Hotels and Spas.

Tour the organic greenhouse and gardens, take a hike to a magical picnic feast in the forest, relax under the soothing touch of skilled massage therapists, and fall under the spell of local Mapuche tales during after dinner story hour. Tours and activities are OPTIONAL to allow attending journalists the leisure of focusing on their individual story assignments and particulars. Uncover your own personal experiences and make the trip one that you can write about again and again.

Please email application to Mexican Pacific Marketing, [email protected] before Friday, October 26, 2007.
