Global Alliance to Help Premium Publishers Better Monetise Traffic from China; Offers Advertisers Effective Ways to Reach Affluent Chinese Consumers

London, 18 June 2008. AdGent 007, a global digital advertising services company, today announced a strategic alliance with SinoTech Media, a leading Chinese interactive marketing company. This partnership extends the power of each company to help premium publishers worldwide effectively monetise traffic from China while helping global advertisers target Chinese consumers.

Through the reciprocal partnership, AdGent 007, which has established an office in Beijing, will manage international advertising sales for SinoTech Media’s network of premium Chinese publishers, directly selling the network’s online inventory to premium advertisers around the globe. SinoTech Media will, in turn, represent AdGent 007’s global publisher clients in the Chinese market. This ensures that Chinese visitors to local and international premium publisher websites will be served advertising that is relevant to them while helping publishers and advertisers maximise revenue.

Cameron Yuill, founder and CEO of AdGent 007, said, “AdGent 007 is focused on helping premium publishers better monetise their growing levels of international traffic by matching them with advertisers interested in reaching a premium audience at any entry point on the Web. Consumers today have become site agnostic, spending about half of their Internet time on domestic sites and the other half on sites located in other parts of the world. The AdGent 007 and SinoTech Media partnership is an important step in allowing advertisers to follow their premium audience targets around the Web, creating a worldwide footprint for those publishers and advertisers seeking a premium audience.”

There are more than 200 million people online in China with spending on the internet exceeding US$8 billion dollars in 2007. Both Chinese and global brand advertisers are looking to maximise this opportunity by ensuring their messages appear on appropriate websites.

Dr. Mathew McDougall, Group CEO and Executive Chairman of SinoTech Group, said, “Today many of the world’s premium publishers are seeing more international traffic than local traffic, yet they aren’t monetising the opportunity effectively. If a person in Beijing is reading the Times online in London, they should see an advertisement relevant to them locally, not a world away.”

Chris Humphrey, General Manager, Europe at AdGent 007 said, ‘For European based publishers and advertisers this new partnership agreement opens up unique new opportunities to make the most of one of the world’s most dynamic emerging markets.’
