Scotland, September 16, 2009 — Starting on Monday 14th September Scotsman.com/jobs have entered into a partnership with myjobscotland (Scotland’s local authority jobs portal), to carry all local government vacancies across Scotland (up to 700 in any given week).

Michael Johnston, Divisional Managing Director of Johnston Press Scotland commented: “Having recently launched a new pan-Scottish jobsite, Scotsman.com/jobs, we are particularly pleased to be bringing such a wealth of job opportunities to all the communities across Scotland that we serve both online and through our 47 local and national Scottish newspapers reaching from Berwick on Tweed and Newton Stewart in the south to Peterhead and Stornoway in the north, and all points in between.”

Key titles such as The Scotsman, Falkirk Herald, Fife Free Press and the Southern Reporter; as well as more locally focused titles such as the Galloway Gazette and the Stornoway Gazette, will be launching an integrated marketing campaign which will also include a huge reach of Scotsman.com (Scotland’s leading national newspaper website). We want to make sure every adult in the employment market knows that these jobs are on our site. We believe that this will be a long lasting and fruitful partnership.”
