Scranton, PA, September 22, 2010 — Because of a history of tragic deaths, mine disasters, union busting massacres, private police squads, corruption & poverty Scranton after dark takes on a different totally personality. Many of the most historic locations in Scranton, Pennsylvania are deemed to be haunted. Most have been certified by several different local paranormal investigation groups. The casual guided walks last about 90 minutes, with a few places to sit along the way. Spooky tales of the paranormal history of Scranton are revealed on this exciting, educational and fun historic Ghost Walk. Haunted tales and legends are blended with bits of human interest and surprising facts covering some of the most famous spots in the city. The Ghost Walk takes you to historic places with humor and history, emotion and education to where the spookiest supernatural visions have been repeatedly reported and gives you an opportunity to safely experience it. Many people get orbs and strange mists in their photos as they attend the walk. Several hit movies including “The Exorcist” and “The Haunted” have direct ties to our area.
“Our spirits are dying to see you!” You may feel or hear something near you that you can’t see! You may feel a tap on your shoulder from one of the spirits that may be walking with us!!! We may not be alone on our tour, as we may be giving the spirits a tour from their past. The spirits of the City of Scranton are with us along the way in what has been called “one of the most haunted cities in America.”
Tours are scheduled daily and reservations are a required. Secret time and meeting place divulged upon reservation. Reservations can be made at (570) 383-1821. Walks include several different souvenir old style postcards of Scranton, PA, discount coupons to other related events, and the use of ghost detecting apparatus such as dowsing rods, etc. Ghost walks are $15 on weekdays and $20 on Friday and Saturdays. Walks now take place 52 weeks a year weather permitting. No tours on snow days or days below freezing. Daytime walks are also available on a limited basis, mostly for private groups. At 7 PM each night the ghostly tour of beautiful historic downtown Scranton, Pennsylvania begins.
