Edcomm Banker’s Academy and Bancofino have announced a partnership to work together to provide small business skills training to the Hispanic and minority communities.

New York, NY, February 28, 2011 — Edcomm Banker’s Academy and Bancofino have announced a partnership to work together in forming a Bancofino Academy that will provide small business skills training to the Hispanic and minority communities. This new venture will present a multitude of new opportunities for both banked and non-banked individuals involved in small to medium-sized business markets throughout the United States.

Edcomm Banker’s Academy’s President and Founder, Dr. Linda Eagle, said, “We are honored to be a part of the great work that Bancofino is doing to help the small business owner in our country today. Our 23+ years of experience in the financial services industry will help Hispanic small business owners gain the knowledge and training they need to succeed in this challenging economy.”

Small businesses – those with fewer than 500 employees – represent roughly half of all U.S. workers today. There is nowhere that small businesses are more prevalent than in Hispanic communities, as a growing number of these minority-operated businesses are springing up across the country. These small business owners, however, often lack a source for loans, insurance and business consulting. By opening financial service centers called BancoCenters, throughout the U.S., Bancofino will help make it easier for these small businesses to obtain the products and services they need to manage and cultivate their businesses.

Bancofino’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Richard David stated, “We are glad to be working with Edcomm Banker’s Academy towards our goal of providing business, banking, and insurance services to the Hispanic and minority owned businesses. Our BancoCenters will greatly benefit from the training expertise that Edcomm Banker’s Academy can provide. It will place us in a unique position in the marketplace to offer a robust product line of services far exceeding what is currently being offered by other organizations.”

Bancofino of New York (www.bancofino.com) is a direct lender and provider of business products, banking and insurance services that are geared towards the business of developing new age financial products for the Hispanic and minority small to medium sized business markets.
